Cookie policy

What we use
We use cookies and browser storage as described below. Fonts and the illustrated map are served by this website. Social, WhatsApp and Google Maps links open only when selected; they are not embedded tracking tools.
Your consent choice
The necessary, host-only workroot_consent cookie lasts 180 days. It records acceptance or rejection, the information revision and choice details. It is not a Google cookie and is not used for analytics or advertising profiles. Rejection is remembered just as acceptance is.
Optional announcement preferences
Only with permission, keys beginning workroot-promotion-v1- remember when an announcement appeared. They contain timestamps, not names, emails or form details.
Per tab session
Session-frequency announcements use sessionStorage, tied to the tab session as managed by your browser.
Daily or weekly
localStorage checks whether 24 hours or 7 days have passed, according to announcement frequency. It does not expire automatically: entries at least 7 days old are removed on the next permitted access. Withdrawing the preference removes the corresponding local entries.
Rejection does not block browsing or the enquiry form. Announcements can still appear using page memory only, without saving their frequency in browser storage, while the page remains loaded. Greek-language announcements are not displayed on English pages.
Google Analytics
Google Analytics is not active and its code is not loaded. GA4 is planned for website statistics, not personalised advertising. The following describes that future integration.
Before activation, a separate Analytics category will be added, off by default, and a fresh choice requested. Acceptance and rejection will be equally available. No code or measurement requests will start before consent or after rejection; today's other choices do not authorise GA4.
Cookies of the planned service
- _ga: distinguishes browsers for measurement.
- _ga_<identifier>: maintains session state.
These are first-party cookies used by GA4. Google's default expiry is 2 years, subject to browser limits and configuration. Our website does not currently set them. Their actual names and selected lifetimes will be published after configuration and browser verification, before use.
Planned user/event retention is 14 months, separate from cookie expiry; standard aggregated reports are not subject to this setting. See our privacy policy and Google's GA4 cookie information.
Change or withdraw
Use "Cookie settings" at the bottom of any page. Rejecting optional storage is offered alongside acceptance. Optional preferences are not saved before permission. You can also clear website data in your browser, after which you will be asked again. Withdrawing announcement preferences removes their local entries. After GA4 integration, withdrawing Analytics consent will stop future measurement and remove related cookies the site can manage, not data already sent to Google. Clearing cookies alone does not delete that remote data.
